Our Communities

“Our purpose is to give the families of people living with Dementia the support they need - whether that be through in-person support groups, online meetings or our community communications and online educational hub”

A stable and open local community support network is especially crucial in helping families and loved ones living with Dementia, yet sadly, it’s often the first line of support to shrink after a diagnosis of Dementia, leaving carers and loved ones feeling isolated and alone.
At Dementia Life, we want to protect, grow and stabilise these vital community support networks.

Through our local communities, we aim to introduce people with similar life experiences to each other, allowing them to share their journeys and support one another. We want our members to feel heard and to know they are not alone throughout their Dementia journey. We will also help facilitate larger, more complex community needs and, where appropriate, empower key individuals to jointly lead groups and networks, proactively creating environments and events that nurture long-lasting friendships and support networks.
