How Do I Join?
You'll need to complete the form on the Online Meeting you want to attend. Just before the meeting starts you'll receive a link to join the meeting.
We want to make this as easy as possible for people. The emails containing the link will include:
- The Date & Time of the Meeting
- Joining Instructions
- A Button and Link to Click to Join
We'll also send reminders both in the days leading up to and on the day of the meeting.
What To Expect
Our Online Meetings are typically around 45 minutes long. They are perfect for a quick check-in about how you're doing this week, how your loved one is, or to ask the group any questions.
We try to make these as informal as possible, covering any challenges you're facing and getting advice and guidance from the group. We also like to focus on successes - so please join and share any wins you've had, no matter how small!
How Many People Will There Be?
We try to make sure that our Online Meetings give everyone the chance to talk if they want. If we feel that they are becoming too big we will break them down into smaller groups. We are also aware of the practical problem that some people's internet might struggle to handle video meetings with large numbers of people
The meetings are yours to use as you wish, and if you don't want to speak, you don't have to. We want to make sure you feel you can.
Frequently Asked Questions
We are experimenting with multiple pieces of software for the meeting. However, we will make sure that on the Meeting Product online, we specify what the meeting is being hosted on. They will all be free to use and easy to join, though, so don't worry if you're not good with computers!
Online meetings are held twice a week. On Wednesday Evenings and Friday afternoons, we've found that these times work best for our attendees. However, we're constantly reviewing our plans, so if you have a suggestion, please let us know.
Our Online Meetings are very flexible and informal. We don't have a formal structure; we use loose prompts that the Meeting Lead will use, but typically the conversation flows as normal.
